Hell, Europe embraced Hitler. The south Pacific wouldn't do anything about Tojo. Yeah, why should we care. We could have saved many lives if we would have stayed out of WWII. We only lost 2400 in Pearl Harbor. How in the world did that justify losing 100x that number just to give Germany back to it's people?
Hell, Hitler attacked the rest of Europe. That's why we went over there.......reluctantly I might add. Just because you say something is analogous does not make it so.

Reluctantly? In what way. There was only one vote against declaring war on Japan.

The war in Europe started as early as 1938; the UK was at war in 1939. The UK kept asking us to join in.......we refused although we sent the allies arms and food.

We did not enter the war in Europe until Japan attacked us near the end of 1931. Prior to WW II, we were devout isolationists.

The flaw I see in your thinking about Iraq is, how would you define "Iraqis"? I would say the majority are unarmed and are just trying to make a living and support their families. The minority with the motivation and the weapons will be deciding Iraq's future. So, just pull out and let Mudbug-Sadr take over the country with his 5000 armed 72 virgin lovers?

If the Iraqis are so unhappy with Sadr why do they not actively oppose him? Better yet.....why don't you ask the Iraqis why they don't.

Every peoples on this planet has their own manifest destiny. For some GD reason, some Americans since WW II have had difficulty with that concept. We're like the nosy neighbor........with nukes!

Let the Iraqis figure out their future. And let us deal with our own.

I've said previously we need to get the fence sitters off the pot. Should we have allowed Saddam to remain on power?

Yes.

Why is it Bush's fault when congress and Clinton decided in 1998 to remove Saddam?

Did we attack Saddam in 1998?
