If you think that I believe AG should for this reason be excused, you are once again speed reading, shooting from the hip, unreflectively typing whatever sound bite pops out in your mind at the moment, looking at words but not understanding them.

Would that perhaps be related to "spin, lies, bias, and prevarication" you hear a lot from "the other side"? I think somebody's shooting from the hip here, that's for sure. But then, I've always had this problem with the self-declared monopoly on "facts and logic" certain people claim.

You remind me of the people who say that the Pope can't criticize anybody or condemn anything because some priests are pedophiles, or because the Church did not do everything it could to prevent the Holocaust.

If the day ever comes that an actual torturer from an actual Arab prison publicly condemns the US for what happened at Abu Ghraib, I'd agree with you.

Lumping all Arabs together into one heaping mess of sin is as pernicious as lumping all Jews together (the Joooooos), or all blacks together.
