Isreali Interest would have been much better served with General Zinni than with current bunch at DOD We saw the result of putting Zinni in charge of Israeli/Pal interests in 2002. It resulted in more suicide bombings. But no amount of Palestinian terrorism has ever succeeded in shifting State's diagnosis that what is needed to solve the problem is more Israeli concessions.

All the real Generals (Zinni, Scrowcroft, Powell, Clark, Shenzeki, Swarzkarpf) are all critical of the post war ops. All six are retired. At least 4 of the 6 have real political ambitions. At least two were herded out for various negative reasons including integrity issues. We have lots of better 4 star Generals both active and retired to listen too. And since when are generals considered the best advisors to politicians following a war? PS. Take a spelling course.
