but the Chief Prosecutor, Justice Robert M. Jackson, was a member of the United States Supreme Court who took a leave of absence to take the post of Chief Prosecutor. And the Russian representatives were both Military Generals.. You could look that up too.. ;0) We merely chose to use non-military judges. The point was that Nuremberg was unprecedented. In fact, the entire concept of unconditional surrender was unprecedented prior to WWII... And we created the legal basis for those tribunals out of the ether of international law. And that, in essence, is what we're doing with the War on Terror... Hawk
