So did you watch Bush's speech? I had the newspaper on my lap, and one ear half open, sort of phasing in and out when he got to parts I hadn't already heard before.

Chris was watching with me - when Bush mentioned the numerous Iraqi ministries that are already functioning under Iraqi control - I think the number is 22, maybe 28, Chris said he had not realized that. I did, but only because it was mentioned during a Centcom briefing on the Iraqi wedding thing last week, which I heard on C-SPAN radio.

I felt like mentioning that maybe if Rush, Ann Coulter, et al. weren't so busy weeping and wailing and gnashing their teeth at the liberals weeping and wailing and gnashing their teeth, he should have learned it from Rush.

After all, Rush, Ann Coulter, etc., are just as bad as liberals at playing the "ain't it awful" game, they just differ on what's "awful."

Just different versions of "bad news sells."

I will now put in a plug for C-SPAN, and other sources of straight news, as it happens.
