John. You said...." The neo's used 9/11 to promote a different agenda. It has to be obvious to everyone.".....

No not to everyone, It may appear that way to those who are political fanatics or those who are brainwashed and are not capable of free thinking. I guess the big problem is that people with this condition are not aware they are no longer capable of rational thought.

And then there are those who just have a political agenda and know exactly what they are doing.

We should have stormed through Afghanistan and Pakistan with whatever forces it took. This should have been over 1 1/2 years ago. And our troops should be home.
You have to be kidding.

Your comment demonstrates a total lack of understanding of the political realities in Pakistan. Musharraf had, and continues to have, problems with Islamist hardliners in his military. He walked a fine line and took significant risks with the cooperation he gave us.

Now, what do you think the reaction would have been, both in Pakistan and in this country if we'd "stormed through ... Pakistan with whatever forces it took."???

The liberal left in this country would have been bleating about us invading Pakistan, Musharraf likely would have been deposed, and then we'd potentially have a fundamentalist Islamist government in Pakistan in possession of nuclear weapons.

Great reasoning.
