Looks like the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto was also accomplished by smuggling arms through tunnels: <<< ZZW had succeeded in digging two tunnels under the ghetto walls providing contact with the outside and allowing smuggling of arms into the ghetto. >>> freeman.org Though it appears that wasn't the major technique: <<< Arms were smuggled into the ghetto in precisely the same manner as other contraband.
