I hate left wing PC. I also hate right wing PC. I hate all PC. I don't but to make the distinctions I need to make here takes us back to debates we've had almost ad nauseum on this thread. I've got no interest in doing so. As for a new head of DOD, if there is one it's clear the Bush folk will be pushed yelling and screaming into doing so and thus lose whatever political gain might have occurred from doing it up front. And that, given their hyper attention to public relations, whoever they appoint, her/his chief characteristic will not be as a good Secretary of Defense but as able to help Bush get reelected. That is, weather confirmation hearings with the least damage.
