We are also being gouged mercilessly now and Bush-Cheney are doing nothing about it. Not a thing. They like gouging. It helps their friends in Texas and Saudi Arabia, and that's money they can get a piece of later.

As we get closer to November with Bush behind Kerry, he starts turning into a lame duck, which means even the power he had to lower gas prices before will gradually diminish. He should be fighting for lower prices now while he still has some perceived power.

China's consumption of crude oil has seen rapid growth in recent years, and China will surpass Japan to become the second largest crude oil importing country in the coming year, said Wang Jiming, president of China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (CPCC).

We are the #1 importer of oil by far.
