Forget the US. I once read stats that in UK college enrollement was headed by Asians, then African blacks, and then whites. African Americans were slaves of masters then of local southern jim crow and then of the welfare state. Back in the 60s-80s, the largest employer of african-smericans was the US govt and a large chunk of other were on welfare. Thank God for Ronald Reagan incentives to be capitalist and the entry of large number of african americans into the private sector. MIke
