At least he was reading! And at his level too! He was probably enjoying reading something he could understand to an audience that didn't have enough knowledge to snicker at his pronunciation.
Having heard a second plane had slammed into the WTC, it was much more important he read to the kiddies than say, "excuse me", and lead the country when more planes could have been headed at other skyscrapers! Get a clue Ann!

Ann, AS's "arguments" (loosely speaking) were always very "lame". She and some of the other laughable malcontents like Orca, Kenneth, & Parson feel quantity is above quality when it comes to posting :^) That's why you get pathetic souls like Orca feeling compelled to stay on SI until 3 a.m.

Why was Bush calmly reading to 3rd graders after the first plane hit the WTC? Why did he not move until the 2nd plane hit? Why was he laughing and joking before announcing the terrorist attacks to the American people? Why did he ignore repeated warnings about Al Qaida hijackings and attacks inside the US? And why did he let the Bin Laudens and Saudis out of the country right after 9-11 without being interogated? Some war on terror leader.
