take home message??? "screw Samsung, we got plenty of alternative flash sources?"

Why doesnt Samsung sell their own flash cards? They would probably have an instant brand name advantage over both Sandisk and Lexar. Is the controller portion of the card that difficult to design?

Hi Aus,

Eric Stang is still pissed-off. Its clearly evident in his remark. I think, such a response was very inappropriate and I hope Samsung makes them absorb the higher cost memory inventory in the channels from first and second quarter. Lexar is relying too much on the new NAND supply which may not be as much to begin with and will be lot more expensive than Samsung's till they move to finer geometries and are able to produce low-cost high density chips. They are definitely Aus@bitingthehandthatfeedyou.com LOL! Good one!
