Ann, Life and death instantaneous decisions rarely happen inside military prisons, at least not to the prison guards. I am much more willing to understand a 24 year old Lieutenant committing a massacre at night in the jungle when surrounded by people he isn't sure are enemies, or, more likely, isn't sure all of them are enemies. But guards committing atrocities, in armed groups, on unarmed prisoners in secure custody is a different thing altogether. It's hard to see any shades of gray on that one.
