"I knew what the speech would contain before is was uttered...

Everybody did. It was not one that anyone will call a turning point. Unless it turns people by their disappointment. People were expecting strong statements of accountability that demonstrated a strong stand in correcting our course and repairing weak linkages.

I am ok with the 'stay the course' theme but the rest of the speech did little to bolster confidence.

Junior has no choice but to stay the course.
Stay the course..

He can't possibly learn a new set of speeches and rationales in time. They just have to stick with the story they taught him.
