With genetic engineering, I think 100 years from now, humans will have also morphed a longggg way. Average IQs around 160 will make a difference for a start. The amygdala will be more under control of the executive frontal lobe.

I think you're a little overly optimistic about average IQ increasing by 60 percent in a hundred years. You must not see the ratings on Fear Factor, The Bachelor, and American Idol.

But as for your "genetic engineering" argument, you think we'll be back to creating a "master race"? A little scary...

Also, I think that you confuse IQ and psychological development. The two don't go hand in hand. There are very bright people who have poor insight and judgment, and pretty average to below average people who have decent insight and judgment. Then there are those who are below average in intelligence who are also poorly developed psychologically (a current resident in the White House comes to mind). But as for bright folks whose psychological development is suspect, you need go no further than this group! :)
