You are deceived if you think any organization or government can grant freedom or take it away. You are created with human rights and obligations. The govt can recognize those in a constitutional body or not. You are ever and always free to the extent that you will stand up for liberty and justice. You are a prisoner whether in a mansion of gold, or a cement block with bars on the window, when you become too much of a coward to stand up.
