I thought Moore was somebody and had money.

He's a patriot who loves his country very much. Documentary filmmakers typically do not get rich at their craft. In fact, they are likely to starve. They have to like what they are doing very much.

Oh well, hope the Miramax brothers at least recover their costs.

Are you kidding? They will do well.....the documentary cost only $6 million...advertising will cost maybe another $10. The theaters get 20% of what's left over.....Miramax and Moore get the rest. I would not be surprised if it takes in considerably more than $50 million.

Miramax/the Weinstein Bros. is one of the most successful producers in Hollywood.....they started out as an indie and are very capable of spotting something off beat that will make good dollars.......not like the majors but still good.
