The country of Iraq was not conquered

Some RW nut was saying that we should have made it clear to the Iraqis that they were conquered so they understood who was the boss, and added that since we didn't, the Iraqis supposedly got the idea that they were free. Then he followed up with some nonsense about how one has to be conquered before being liberated. How about that?
