All of them said, unambiguously, that the Geneva Conventions applied in Iraq. No qualifications.

They do apply to those who meet the requirements in Iraq.

Have you seen the reports that we have sent some Iraqi prisoners to Guantanamo?

Of course it does, John. But as I said, the Geneva Convention specifically rules out fighters not in uniform. No ifs, ands, or buts.

DOD rank and file take the position that the Geneva Conventions apply to insurgents in Iraq, it's the civilians running the Pentagon under the current administration, especially Feith, who don't.

Feith appears to be taking a lot of heat these days.
