Josh, I cannot begin tell you how sorry I feel for such a tragic loss of the woman you have loved for so long. Your pain must be enormous, and I wish I could help you to bear that sadness, and grief.

May your wife rest in peace in the arms of Jesus, and may God bless you, and your precious children. You have many friends that will be praying for you.

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

I am deeply touched by your loss, having lost parents and a spouse within a period of three years---and my best friend age 44 suddenly about a year ago.

I dealt with these losses by going through the emotions, staying connected with family and others----and developing gradually new connections.

The children need you; however, you also need to stay connected whether it is via SI or other sites. Writing and music are the two best therapies I know----so stay connected-----thinking of you in your hour of deep grief.

Josh,
I cannot begin to say how sorry I am to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. A friend sent me this when I lost my father. It brought me some comfort. Hopefully, it will do the same for you.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the LORD,

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the
sand, one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he
looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed
that many times along the path of his life there was
only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it.

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,there is only one set of footprints, I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied, "My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Josh....

I am stunned to hear of your loss...She was so young......

I think it is indicative of the great esteem with which your fellow SIers hold you that although I was away from the office and my usual haunts this week....several of your friends took it upon themselves to make sure I got the news at my home.....

Words are never sufficient at a time like this....it is at times like this that we must wonder about God's plan for us all......

But......difficult as it may be to hear and accept at this moment....I believe that all things grow in time EXCEPT grief.....and also that you can have comfort in knowing that sunshine WILL return to your life, your children's lives and all who grieve with you.....

My very deepest condolences to you and your family on your loss.......
