I know what you mean about market size.

Still, being human (almost) I am biased.
Small size cuts both ways which is why I use measures that are volatility neutral - stochastics and standard deviations to compare things. Hence my statement of Gold underperforming.

The Cyclical Trend (for gold stocks) is Now neutral to Bearish - ($HUI = 200 is approx the 55wk and 55d emas) - it is definitely not Bullish (though the Secular Trend still is). We need a new rising bar on Quarterly charts to turn the Cyclical .

Short USD: this is in a nasty spot.
Similar to Gold the Cyclical Trend is Neutral but the Momentum is Bullish.
This means I should considering buying when o/sold and selling when o/bt until the Trend re-asserts or reverses. It has been IT o/bt and is now coming off (Hence short).
Should it get IT o/sld before 1.30 and/or reverse I will buy The Buck with both hands. I have no idea if this will take place in early June.

I try not to predict, but I do pay attention to longer period timeframes.
