they want the US out of Iraq and the Mid-East

But first they wanted to have the US in Iraq and ME. And not diplomatically and bilaterally but with an army.
Now with these 18'000 ( I guess the "strong" part is much smaller) and the provocation of 9/11 combined with NeoCons long existing Iraq war plannings, they achieved to show possible limits (in dollars and manpower) of the biggest military power of the world. And with just one ME country.

Here you are not alone. Actually you could have a large support among the people in ME. But not this way. Definitely not this way.

Bush's line of logic as to why his course is the only one that makes sense.
For me, it's unrealistic, neocon-ideological DreamOn. And that's why so many old military pragmatists didn't support this war.
