Don, It seems to me that by Kerry focusing so much attention on Bush is just trying to deflect the focus away from himself

It would seem so. Either kerry has become more quiet or the liberal side of the media have increased their emphasis on the kerry "blame bush' strategy. There is only so much mileage to be gained from that approach in my view. kerry needs to specifically declare his positions. In so doing he will demonstrate leadership. I am patiently waiting to see if a new and improved kerry will evolve.

He has a problem in that kennedy is an anchor. I still believe there is some unspoken friction regarding the VP slot. Probably between kerry and the clintons. My original prediction months ago was that kerry would choose Richardson for the hispanic vote. Not so sure now due to the delay. IMO if Mrs. clinton isn't chosen, the clintons are out to lunch for 2008 or 2012. It is simply too unlikely that the clintons would be willing to gamble on kerry losing 2004 giving her a chance in 2008 against whoever the kerry's VP candidate is. Interesting to speculate on this, but who knows?
