mish, It basically makes the Chinese currency less US centric. What is accomplishes is that it crushes our bond market, allows us to depreciate our currency without dragging the RhumbaSambaBibby along and makes it easier for European and Japanese capital equipment to compete with US capital equipment.

mish, the radio will be decided by the trade surplu/deficit and the trade volume. Because China runs surplus with the US (but the US-Sino trade is only a small part of China's overall trade), and maybe Europe, but deficit with Japan, S.Korea. And you are right it won't be much help for the US/Snow. Because China runs an overall trade deficit, so even if Yuan revalued upward it won't be much<g>
