You made a call on DMX management that had a 50/50 chance of being right, and so it was. It hardly amounts to earthshaking insight. Evidently your delight has inspired a belief that you are also endowed with expertise in matters legal and linguistic. We read, on SH, your repeated cautions to others, lest they suffer the legal lash. Your quotation (in bold, no less) of my comment, and the accompanying admonition would appear to many to be a Sermon from The Mount of True Wisdom. In fact your words betray a profound ignorance of language and law. Churchill, whose grasp of the English was superb, was once upbraided for ending a sentence with a preposition. His reply was,"That is the type up erudite nitpicking up with which I shall not put." The problem is that your nitpicking is neither erudite, nor correct. I could post the quoted sentence on billboards, as a headline in newspapers, in every magazine, and distribute it in leaflets and letters. I could say it on every radio show, on television, and in movies. I could write it on the walls of bathrooms and subway stations, and nobody - absolutely nobody - would be harmed by it, for it makes no reference to any person. There is no legal remedy for, or required by, a factually correct statement that harms no one. If we impute superior understanding of words such as "insinuation" to you, then we might find evidence of such linguistic superiority in the grammar, syntax, and spelling of your many daily posts. We see no such evidence. You profess to own no DMX shares. Since you own no shares, perhaps we should attribute your Messianic posting to a wish that we lesser beings not be deprived of your knowledge. Deprive us, Chief. Your words betray a desire to parlay one good call on DMX management into something greater. Don't push your luck. Regards, Jim
