It's the neocon goose-stepping mantra. "You are either with us, or you sympathize with the terrorists." It is that kind of thinking supported by the kind of parrots that post here that led to the quagmire in Iraq, and the unnecessary deaths of thousands. Ironically, their blind support of this failed policy is the best recruitment tool that the terrorists ever had.

"doesn't make a person sympathetic with terrorism"

Yes it does. Maybe you don't know it, but that just makes you what the Ruskies called a "useful idiot".

"The president's my-way-or-the-highway attitude in everything he does rubs me and others the wrong way"

That's fine. And you are entitled to that opinion. But when you take the side of the terrorists to show your hatred for the man, then you are aiding, comforting and emboldening the enemy.

"In fact, GWB's supporters, at least around here, are more of the facist/dictatorial types"

I haven't seen too much evidence of that. Looks to me like just an example of your hatred of those with traditional values and firm beliefs in right and wrong.

"ready to accuse anyone of being a traitor if support for the administration is anything less than 100%"

But your support and the support of the other haters on the thread is no where near 100%. It is active underming, slandering and attacking. The same feelings shared by the terrorists.
