The Confusion. I liked "Quicksilver" even more. But it really doesn't get going until you reach the "Jack Shaftoe" part. I think my favorite so far by Neal is "Cryptonomicon," a huge read. The third book in the "Baroque" cycle, "The System of the World," will be published in September. I am reading a wonderful history, "Everybody had his own Gringo - The CIA and the Contras" by Glenn Garvin. Can't recommend it highly enough. I spend an hour or so at the beach every day with it. Reading and checking out bikinis. Takes a long time to finish a book that way.
