what does your hosts file look like?

It shouldn't contian much more than what mine does:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 AdSubtract # Added by AdSubtract for auto-dial.

it is located in c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc (at least on my XPHome machine)

The info in the link shadowman gave you will work. I had to do the exact same thing a while back when I had a Gaobot trojan. It changes the entries in the hosts file as they describe. It does a sorta loop back, so you never can access any of the help sites, like Symantec, McAfee, Microsoft, etc. Luckily when I got the warning I wrote all the info down and went to this file, and opened with notepad as described. I deleted everything but the first entry. After that you will be able to get to the sites and download removal tools and patches.
