(unlike real estate, boat depreciation will make you sick)... If you buy new today and "borrow" the money to do it in 5 years if you wanted to sell you will find yourself "underwater" on the loan... OTOH, If you buy a 3-4yr old boat you will be getting a "almost brand new boat" at a 30% discount...
