Since 1968, I have missed only one: 1996 (I did not expect Bob Dole would do such a bad job that we'd have to name a DISEASE after him.) And sure enough, William the Bastard was soon impeached.

My FAVORITE, BTW, was when, in 1988, my liberal boss told me that Dukakis was up 16 points and that it would hold (about 5 months out, like we are today). He was pissed off when I told him Bush the elder would win big, so he made a bet.

He, like Dukakis, is long gone, and never paid off.

Kerry, like Dukakis, finds left wing "pollsters" publishing wishful thinking rather than real research today (they gotta make a living.) And I don't SEE no 16-point lead.

LBJ set the record for a popular percentage landslide in 1964. That record is TOAST in 2004...
