In 1992 Clinton had 43% of the popular vote. 57% of the American voters wanted someone else for president.

In 1996 Clinton had 49.2% of the popular vote. 50.8% of the American voters wanted someone else for president.

Both Clinton and Bush had more electoral votes, which determine an election. That's how it works...

Clinton had more votes than Bush and Perot. Dubya had fewer votes than Gore. Big Difference!
