nice assessment, Jewel... sounds about right let me be clear, I am neither Democrat or Republican I believe the political process puts forth the 2nd and 3rd best candidates Edwards was nowhere near as well connected, had little chance Kerry inspires me little he has some good positions, like on jobs but even there, his stance will head toward protectionism maybe some protectionist planks are wise, dunno, doubt it I am certain that if Kerry wins, he will inherit a mess in Iraq and a mess in US Economy (as it deteriorates following the bubbles gas release) the Europeans have such better ways in some respects they dont have ridiculous lobbyist efforts strangling the capitals they have runoff elections which would remove Nader they have little dedication toward constant inflation they are not big fat hogs they dont drive SUV big fat hog cars they dont blast marketing everywhere you turn they dont push mortgage loans on you if you are a poor debt risk, you cannot borrow money easily we have an arrogant attitude in this country why? I am unsure because we are Americans !!! well, I repeat why? because we have a strong military !!! might makes right what if we have some wrong positions and cannot admit our errors effectively ? that is where we are, both militarily and financially nobody gets out easily in these two messes / jim (rough stone in the East)
