However it would appear that the Swedes are happy with their econ. model and it looks to be functioning well. If they don't like it, they can certainly vote to change it.

Thats fine for them. I'm not asking them to change. I'm just pointing out how their model is not a good one for us.

Speak for yourself.........lets face it, you're vision of what's good for us is a bit biased.

However, with street crimes or home burglaries which we normally think of when we think of crime, Sweden's rates are lower than ours.

Their murder and assualt rates are lower. I think their other street crime rates are higher.

I told you......the crimes that are higher are bribery and other white collar crimes........crimes that we don't bother to follow. Street crime is lower in Sweden as in the rest of Europe. However, the gap between us and them has grown smaller.

Dang, Tim, this is the site where you're getting your info.

More information -

Ownership of household appliances
Average Poorest
Swede fifth of
Americans
48% 60% VCR
37% 60% Microwave
31% 20% Dishwasher
18% 50% Dryer

I've seen this info in other places, but I don't have a link to those places. Also he detailed his source "Source US. Bureau of census, 1992, Euromonitor, 1991."

Good......the guy's site is a homemade thing of ugliness where he works to discredit the Swedish model. What a joke.....last time I was in Sweden, the people looked mighty happy........attempts by American idiots to discredit their econ. model notwithstanding.
