Of course, the SEC is about 15 years behind the times as usual.

I wouldn't rely too much on the German trading volumes. You probably know that outside the US the game is like the iceberg, with only the tip showing. This thing has the potential to have tentacles in many markets, with basket trading and connected networks.

In any event, it will be very interesting to see what transpires.

I did a bit of research a while back on Holger Timm, Berliner Freiverkehr and his other companies.
Let's just say that it was a bit of an eye opener for me.
If it wasn't for the Timm connection, I would side with you on this one.
