A) --- We don't need so much Middle Eastern oil, not if we use our strengths in technology and capital. All that's missing is forward-thinking government not so stuck in the past century. B) --- How many HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of dollars have we spent to 'protect the oil States' in just the past few years, (let alone in the past 50 years)????????? How much were we hurt by the Stagflation of the 1970s? (More of which we are about to see, because you like bending over for the Oil Cartel so much!) How many petty Despots have we installed in power in the region? How many times have we diluted our beliefs in Democracy and Human Rights --- just to get along with the Dictator du Jour, like Saddam?
