The poor get little or no help from the federal government these days. You're way behind the times. If you're out on the street with no money you're on your own except for a few church groups. Only homeless veterans can get a little help. Want to cut those "hand-outs"? Don't be a heartless scrooge. We spend more on SDI than we've spent on the poor in the last ten years.
