I hope you're right. I do think perception is a lot stronger than reality in a lot of cases. The perception is that Bush was handed a good economy and has been a miserable failure at managing it. The perception is also that he's too comfortable with big business and isn't doing enough to protect and create American jobs. Until real jobs are created, people won't perceive the economy as getting better. And, the perception is that George Bush has messed up the Iraq war. The reality is that he lied about our reasons for going to war and lied about WMDs (two reasons enough to vote the guy out of office). Bush is in trouble.
