These projections forget to mention one important aspect, which is whether the US gov. can afford to hire as many law enforcement personels as it wants. Even if now, the Fed gov. is getting behind on funding DHS

While one way to solve this is for Bush to get what he wants, privatizing 700,000 of the Federal gov. jobs, and that should save some money to hire more policemen<g>
