Here is the reason for Ray's suspension(?):

"What's noteworthy is that none of the TOU violations cited had anything whatsoever to do with politics... it was solely his chosen means of presentation that was at issue.
The only time Raymond ran afoul of the TOU because of politics per se was when he spammed non-political threads with them. "

Reading through the replies to your post, I suppose you can't have TOU's for Ray and another set for everybody else.

The best way to handle Ray when he parachuted into non-political threads where he was not welcome was to ignore him. He usually went away. The trouble was that somebody would inevitable reply, and awaaaay we'd go.

Pity, because as many have pointed out there was often a good deal of serious research and thought behind his rants.
