Perhaps, but when I see polls suggesting that Americans are bent out of shape about 600 dead soldiers when in World War II we lost a gazillion times that with virtually no complaint at all, and when I see with my own eyes Americans whining in the streets and calling for our leaders' heads just because some immoral soldiers tortured a few terrorists in a prison, I can't help but think Americans have lost the edge, thinking that war ought to be something that it is not.
