Believe what you want. It's a free country. All I can say is that growing up in the wake of Viet Nam made me very distrustful of our government. Everything that has transpired since then hasn't made me any more trustful. From Iran/Contra, to the first Gulf War (proven to be full of lies and deceptions years after the fact), to the Clinton years, to 9/11, to now this dubious war against Iraq. Frankly, I really surprised that conservatives are so apt to believe what the government says. I thought one of the tenants of conservatism was distrust of the government and government power? I know what's real in this world, and what's been coming out of DC all my life has been a pack of lies.
