VP: The safe picks are Evan Bayh and Bill Nelson. Both are moderates (a little boring), and respected by both parties. Recent polls show a ticket with Bayh will carry Indiana. Nelson will probably ensure Florida (already leaning towards Kerry).

John Edwards would add a spark to the ticket. If a landslide develops, Edwards might help carry the Atlantic Seaboard (Carolinas and Georgia). Of course Edwards made his money as a trial attorney; one of the extremists favorite whipping boys.

Kerrey would be another solid choice. You would think it is hard to attack the patriotism of a "Medal of Honor" winner, but they will ... you know the will.

There is NO chance. McCain made that perfectly clear last night. He said he will be working to re-elect GW Bush & he expects the Pres to do the same for him in AZ.
