Well, the Plextor arrived today. My first experience with it has been very negative -- in fact, I think I was doing better with the free Linux software. It purported to digitize the video I threw at it, but the result looks like satellite reception in a severe thunderstorm -- pixelated and jumpy. The PC I'm using with it far exceeds what they claim is needed. I'll play with the options, but right now I wouldn't even recommend it to James Bowers. <g> JMHO. Charles Tutt (SM)
