Bank of Ireland's Soden Quits After Breaching Policy (Update2)
May 29 (Bloomberg) -- Bank of Ireland Plc, the largest Irish lender by assets, said it accepted the resignation of Group Chief Executive Officer Mike Soden, who quit after infringing the company's policy on Internet access.

Soden, a 57-year-old native of Dublin, said in a statement received by e-mail and verified by the company's press office that he resigned for personal reasons arising from his access to certain Web sites on his personal computer.

``The content accessed was not illegal, but did contain links to material of an adult nature,'' Soden said in the statement. ``I now understand and accept that in doing this I breached the policies of the Bank of Ireland.''
