It takes the sun 225 million years to orbit once around the Milky Way at a speed of 155 miles per second. That is a long trip. It is also a long way to the top of a sauropod's head. A blood pressure of 600 mm mercury would require a heart of about 900 pounds. Can you imagine pumping blood 30 feet above the heart? I wish I could have been there. The age of dinosaurs is truly mind-boggling in every way.

Is it possible that dinosaurs had more than one heart? Perhaps they had a heart near their brain stem? The complications of pumping oxygenated blood so many feet to feed the brain just seems like the last path which evolution would take. Dinosaurs have come and gone. We know their size but we really don't know their make-up.
