He was in Nam for 4MOS...then he snuffed out the achievement by giving false testimony to congress. He has admitted that he exaggerated. Afterall, it was just a little thing like accusations of daily atrocities by everyone. Besides, that testimony helped Kerry win his first election. You see, his life goals are more important than the other Vietnam vets. His life goals are more important than the best interests of the USA as well. He's John Kerry, a rich guy who's accustomed to getting what he wants--heiresses, expensive playtoys, medals (even if not really deserved), elected office.
