War is messy stuff. So is correcting the oversights and misdeeds of the prior eight year Cli'ton/Gore misadministration, that handed over a time bomb with a short fuse to Bush/Cheney. Cli'ton/Gore/Reno obsessed with David Koresh and Elian Gonzalez. I'm eternally grateful to them for protecting our Florida border from invasion by a 7-year old Cuban refugee... I got a fundraising letter from Sen. John McCain in the mail a few days ago, on behalf of his project, "Citizens Against Government Waste." It had a survey enclosed. Question #2: "Do you think most Americans you know are aware that in the eight years before President Bush the size of our nation's Armed forces was cut in half?" Question #8: "The Clinton Administration slashed defense spending far beyond the post-Cold War minimums that were recommended during the first Bush Administration to keep America safe. Do you believe this under-funding of our nation's defenses invites further aggression and terrorism? Dang, Orca, did you get caught in one of those fishing trawlers' nets and held under water to the point of drowning, so you can't think straight? What on earth caused you to be the hatemonger that you are, against the entirely wrong target? You're like a disoriented whale that beaches itself for inexplicable reasons...
