hdl - I think you and I are on the same page. Perhaps I have spent too much time jousting with kerry spirit on the jfk for president thread.

The Press and Media have been protecting Bush. They should have been asking the tough questions ahead of the Iraqi invasion. Instead, they went along with the line that anybody questioning the war was unpatriotic. Now, Kerry can say the war has not made us safer. When Dean said the same thing, the Press jumped on him.

hdl,

You may find the hypothesis below of interest.

*******************************

The kerry campaign - four pillars of spring time sand.
There are four key pillars of the kerry campaign.
1. High gasoline prices are the fault of Bush.
2. The Bush economy is bad.
3. The war in Iraq is a quaqmire.
4. jfk is a war hero.
Would for kerry that the election was in May and not November. Only bad news for America will maintain the first three pillars. By November demand is likely to be known as the cause of high energy prices. Continue growth of the economy will mute the second. Progress in Iraq will mute the third. Finally, I wonder how long it will take for the three bandaides and your out strategy to be seen as opportunist? And then there are things like tempermant and tax returns.
Four pillars of sand - all likely to crumble!
