From the little reading I have just now done, it seems your ISP is not standard? They should have offered the fix long ago. Anyway, the standard is 1500 according to this definition. webopedia.com I think the subject of preconceived ideas, one's internal programming, could and should be a fascinating subject for psychologists/psychiatrists. In the end, I doubt if any definitive, single cause answer can be given. But it is interesting to note the commonality of thought within certain conceptions. For example, Fundamental religious & right wing are associated, or left wing and alternate life style. That is why people are immediately judged across the board when they voice an opinion, rightly or wrongly.
