They just finally got the race started 4 hours late. Had to dry the wet track. Looks like the storms will be going north of the race. BTW, all those 200+mph cars are running on alcohol.

One thing that will be different this year, no driver will be able to do the 500 and fly to the 600 NASCAR race. Late start ruined that. It has been done. Driving in two races totaling 1100 miles at over 200 mph in one day. Way better than me in my prime.

When I hear the tornado sirens go off I go outside and look for them. Only once was I concerned about a tornado. I was taking my girl friend up to the local lake and saw one headed toward us. Stopped at a farm house, did the howdys, and mentioned a tornado was getting close. Nice family said we could share their basement. It did veer enough that it missed the house by about 300 yards. Then we went to the lake.

We just got a little weather. Pouring rain, no idea of how much since the 80 mph winds blew my gauge away. A little wild here. Tornado report will come tomorrow.
